He lets out a little whine and blocks the door so she can’t escape. “Come on, Yuri, don’t be like that. I can’t get you nothing but clothes like I did for your birthday. I need to know what to get you.”

She rolls her eyes before grabbing a coat and her scarf. “I’ll jump out the window if you don’t move,” Yuriko stated dead serious about getting out. All she wanted was to finish this book, so she could critique it later and then take notes on the style and mechanisms used within the text. “Gee, I couldn’t tell what I’m interested in, I say, as I stand in my room full of literary works, overused pens, several ink filled papers, even more filled notebooks, and a laptop that is probably at least half full of written things,” her sarcasm oozed as she grabbed her laptop bag with a new notebook and a pen. “Like I said, figure it out.”
